Crux Overview & Onboarding
Understand the core concepts, connect your data sources, and configure Crux to power CRO, UX and Session Replay workflows.
1. Workspace setup
Every Crux subscription starts with a workspace. The first user who completes onboarding becomes the Owner and can invite additional teammates at any time.
- Add your brand details (name, logo, primary domain).
- Invite collaborators under Workspace โ Users.
- Assign roles โ Owners manage billing, Editors launch audits, Viewers consume analytics.
2. Install the tracking script
The Crux snippet powers heatmaps, funnels, and replay. Install it across your entire site so we can capture consistent analytics.
- Navigate to Domains & Pages โ Install snippet.
- Copy the script block and paste it before the closing
</head>tag. - For single-page apps, ensure route changes push to
window.cruxQueueso we can track state transitions.
3. Launch SEO & UX audits
Crux generates Lighthouse-based SEO diagnostics and AI summarised UX reviews for any page you monitor.
- SEO audits โ run PageSpeed, Core Web Vitals, and accessibility checks automatically or on demand.
- UX audits โ our NLP models surface clarity issues, broken flows, and prioritised fixes with impact estimates.
4. Session Replay & analytics
Once the snippet is live, Crux captures high-fidelity session replays, heatmaps, funnels, and rage-click analytics. Use filters to isolate user cohorts and dive into friction points.
5. Collaboration & roles
Crux keeps everyone aligned with shareable dashboards, automated alerts, and AI summaries delivered to email or Slack.
- Create saved views for marketing, product, and engineering stakeholders.
- Subscribe to weekly AI recaps for SEO, UX, and Conversion experiments.
- Use the built-in task assignments to push fixes into your existing workflow.
